Safeway Deals & Delivery App Reviews

This app has become my primary tool for shopping. It used to be that you could look for deals and get coupons, and then from that list make a shopping list. They removed that option and now you you have to put all the coupons on your list, even if you planned on buying the product later. Its much less fun and useful now. But still better than competitor apps Ive seen. Some one needs to explain gamification to their developers.

I absolutely love this app, it has far more features than the King Soopers coupon app does. The only request I would have is a filter to only show the coupons that are not yet added to your card.

As others have said the change they made to the app has made it HUGELY annoying. I can no longer use it for my grocery list. It went from a four star to a zero star app overnight!

Congratulations Safeway on more one star reviews! Its actually amazing that you dont care about the main problem your customers are complaining about. Separate list and card again! With Thanksgiving coming up, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I need to have a shopping list I can add my own items to without having to hunt through the useless items I was forced to add when I should just be able to add them to my card. I dont have time for that and it sounds like a lot of other people dont either.

Previous app was fantastic and I want it back. Latest update changed how you "add" and everything is larger. Looks like a teenager made the latest version and didnt want to ask for help. Bring back the old version!

Anyone who finds it difficult or not user friendly are probably the same people who have issues with self-checkout. This app is great. Maybe the dolts who have a hard time here should try Safeway home delivery.

Seems that in addition to the forced combination of the list and card, all of the previous deals I had loaded have also disappeared. Lets trash-can the last couple of updates and revert to what works.

Scan bar code function is now broken. When I was scan an item, it gives OFFERS for an item, it doesnt simply add the item I scanned to the list (which would then allow me to edit the number of the item I need). This should be a a shopping app first, and provide offers second. All "report a provlem" on THIS page takes to me the Safeway Home prage -- not a page for reporting problems. They dont care about problems?

My card/offers needs to come back...if you dont take advice from the reviews you are the densest devs on the planet.

Love this app. Love the personal deals. I use it every time I shop. Each Wednesday Im excited to open my app and check out my new personal deals!

After entering my address, it doesnt any stores.

The store at silver bell and Grant is the best store I only go in because of Jenny, Antionette, Anjelica, Kayla those girls really work hard they deserve a raise they put up with a lot and all the dept are fab also would like to see mang out more on the check stand, it makes shopping there so much better when all employees are there bosses included, great team work silverbell & grant store 10,10, 10

Email list function doesnt work...still. We hit email list and nothing happens. Why cant you fix this function. iPad 12.7 iOS 10.1.1

The most recent update was a serious downgrade for this app.

This app so badly needs an ADD ALL BUTTON! Who at Safeway thought of this idea? "Lets charge people extra if they dont visit our app and click accept on a few hundred prices every week!" It helps to think of it as a really lame game, where you click all the red rectangles. If you miss one or forget before your wife goes shopping, it will cost you a few extra dollars. The list might be a decent idea if the store had wifi or data reception. Our stores metal roof blocks any signal, so your list is not available inside the store. Bottom Line: Add the app or pay extra for your groceries. Or find a store that simply puts things on sale instead of having this price variable game.

No other app requires a relogin after an update. Except Safeway. Deleted the app of the iPad. One more device and Im out

Current update: NOT what we have all been waiting for! Description was very unclear and vague as to what it was updating. After doing this update and hoping it would give us the proper separation between card and list, it basically didnt change anything we can see as a user. So disappointed again. Previous update: Fixed some glitches but did not resolve the largest problem with a separate shopping list from active offers on the card. Please see below. Previous update: This update may have helped those with problems loading j4u. I was not one of them. The review below still stands. Previous update: The one feature I upgraded for was the description of "scroll less." I didnt like it at all. Ive already switched back to the old way because its faster having it in one column to tap the items on to my list. Additionally, there is nothing but problems with this version. Most of the items could not be added to my list because of "service problems." If theyre not added, I dont get the offer so Im not saving money so why would I need the app anymore? Removing the ability to have offers added to my card and, separately, my shopping list, makes the shopping list a valueless feature. When before it was what made me thrilled with the app. PLEASE do an update to correct this version or go back to the old one. We must have a way to add all offers to the card and separately a way to add certain offers to our shopping list. Otherwise this app will probably go from a daily use app to no longer being used. If Im not using the app, Im not saving money so why am I shopping only at Safeway? The app, the way it was, kept me shopping with you and it did its job which was a hidden source of advertising to your customers. As the app is now, thats about to dry up.

The developers clearly dont care about all of these one star reviews and unhappy users. The option to add offers to a shopping list SEPARATE from adding to card, is still not back. I urge everyone to call and complain like Im starting to do now. Maybe they need to hear from us. They clearly dont read these reviews… This app stinks!

As many have already complained about lately, the My Card/Offers and My List are now one and the same, with no ability to separate them. Until Safeway separates them again, this app and shopping at Safeway is useless and pointless. Stop fixing the bugs if youre not going to fix the most complained about problem! There was NOTHING wrong with the app before the last major update. Why mess with a good thing and make it completely trash? Nobody has time for an app that makes shopping more complicated!

I love how quick your app sends additions to the list to your system at the stores. But seriously guys...large screen iPhones have been here for 3 years and the app has yet to be updated to reflect that fact.
